2023 Spring Tournament

AKRON, Ohio (May 31, 2023) –First Tee – Greater Akron hosted its First Annual Spring Golf Tournament this past Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Mud Run Golf Course & Driving Range. It was a beautiful day for golf with forty-four participants showing up to demonstrate their skills. There were four age-based boys and girls divisions that competed throughout the day.

The tournament was open to current 2023 First Tee – Greater Akron participants. The event was hosted as a way to provide participants an additional playing opportunity outside of regular First Tee programming.

“We are so proud of all of our participants who took time out of their holiday weekend to participate in our tournament,” First Tee – Greater Akron Program Director Michael Clark said.  “We get to see these participants on a weekly basis learn golf fundamentals and our key commitments but seeing them put their skills on display in actual tournament play was a delight.  We hope this is the first of many playing opportunities to help them learn and grow on-and-off of the golf course.”
