Who is eligible to participate?
The First Tee of Akron is open to any child ages 7-18.
Do participants need their own clubs?
No. We provide clubs, balls, tees and any other equipment they might need. However, participants may bring their own clubs if they prefer.
How much does it cost and what does that cost cover?
The cost of The First Tee of Akron is $55 per session. There are four sessions available (Spring, Summer I, Summer II, and Fall). The First Tee of Akron does offer scholarships (

How do you register for classes?
Parents/Guardians must register online or through a paper application.
How long will it take to go through the program?
Classes are conducted in 5 week sessions. Participants advance to different levels of The First Tee Program (PLAYer, Par, Birdie and Eagle Levels) at their own pace. This advancement depends on factors such as age as well as participant's understanding and application of the required golf and life skills at each level.
Can anyone use the facility?
Yes. Mud Run is a public facilty that includes a driving range, chipping and putting greens, and 9 holes. First Tee of Akron participants get discounted rates on range balls and greens fees only while they are in the program and only during Spring, Summer and Fall sessions.
