More Than a Game
First Tee – Greater Akron board member and parent Matt Considine recently wrote a piece for NewClub that captures something we try to live every day at First Tee – Greater Akron: the real lessons happen between the swings.
Through the eyes of his five-year-old daughter Nora, Matt describes watching courage, creativity, collaboration, and compassion take root, one putting game at a time. From a shy little girl clinging to dad on day one, to walking a grandmother to her car in the rain, the transformation is quiet, genuine, and powerful.
